Hey. You have so much light about you. It’s so beautiful in your photos. I hope you find everything you’re looking for.
FEB 3, 2020. 10:11 PM PSTHi, my name is beep. I am a designer who’s been working in aerospace. And as part of it I’ve been taking a lot of space classes. One thing I just learned about is gravitational sling shots.
One thing that is so cool is that it was discovered by a grad student who just thought it was going to be the way to open up the cosmos and no one believed him so he worked for years and years to prove his theory. It’s because of him that we’re able to escape the solar system. It’s just so cool.
JAN 8, 2020. 8:49 AM PSTHey Izzie. It’s beep. So I’m up late and I’m watching this video about butoh dancing. And they introduced this idea called toh, which is spelled t-o-h. Toh. The video is in Japanese but there’s subtitles. So I’m going to just read the subtitles.
“What is toh? The idea that gods are found in many things. An example is drawing power from the earth. The stamping on the ground of sumo wrestlers is a gesture to express that.”
I love this idea that god is not found above but below in the earth. And that got me thinking of you. And I also thought about how they’re drawing power from the earth by stomping, by taking steps. And I thought of you again, so I thought I’d call you and tell you.
JAN 7, 2020. 8:27 PM PSTHey Iz. So I was going to call you last night but I wasn’t sure what exactly what I wanted to say. So I spent all this time just reading things. But that isn’t really me.
So first I wanted to wish you a happy birthday. And I know birthdays can be challenging for all of us because I think we make these goals for ourselves. You know, like where we think we should be. But I don’t think that matters. I know this previous year was hard, but I think this next year is going to be one of your best years.
So I know this is cheesy or whatever but I do want to read something that inspires me a lot for your birthday.
It’s called “The Man in the Arena” by Theodore Roosevelt. I am going to change it a little bit to what I think it should say. So it’s “The Woman in the Arena.”
“It’s not the critic that counts ... the credit belongs to the woman who’s actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood. Who strives valiently, who errs, who comes short again and again ...”

Hey Izzie, it’s beep. Something that is really special about our friendship is plants and the land and nature. It’s something that brought us together which is really cool.

Hey Izzie, it’s beep. I was wondering if you thought I’d call or not. I’m just calling ‘cause I wanted to wish you a happy birthday. Hope you’re having a great couple of days. Just wanted you to know that I think you’re a very special person and I feel fortunate for all of the lessons I’ve learned from you, having you in my life the last couple of years. As painful as some of it’s been.

Hey Izzie, this is beep. I didn’t prepare anything. It’s a very auspicious day ‘cause it’s your birthday. And I think I tell you a lot what I think of you and how I feel about you. But I think on your birthday it bears repeating so you have some kind of evidence or record of all of that.

Hey Izzie, it’s beep calling. Happy new year. And happy birthday apparently. I saw your message and so I thought, hey, why not give her a call and get back in touch and all those things.

Hi, happy birthday. How did you get those birdy sounds in the background of your message? Are those real birds? Or are those fake birds? Probably real since the neighborhood you live in. Anyways, your voice sounds great in this.
JAN 5, 2020. 9:43 AM PSTHey Izzie, this is beep. I wanted to wish you a happy birthday. I’m so inspired and impressed by just your ways of celebrating and bringing people together that you care about.

Happy birthday, Izzie. I think you’re just such an inspirational, beautiful, lovely woman. And for this next solar year, I want you to see it, and I want you to feel it.
JAN 5, 2020. 8:59 AM PSTHey sweetie. I love that intro. That’s really awesome. I love all the birds and everything. It reminded me of that Saturday night live skit, the NPR one. Anyway, happy happy birthday. It was really cold here 32 years ago. And right now, the sky is blue. It’s sunny out. It’s a beautiful day, a beautiful day to celebrate you.
